Who Am I?

Hi I'm Filipe Fernandes, a recently graduated Engineer!

I've always been passionate about technology, computers and computer networks. Since I entered university I spend most of my free time exploring them. Even now, playing around with some Raspberry Pi's is a hobby.

I also love to spend time with friends, share experiences, and at the end of the day go to see a football match at the stadium!

Work Experience

Network & System Administrator at Técnico Lisboa 2020-present

I am currently working on IT Services of Instituto Superior Técnico, one of the best engineering colleges in Portugal.

My main tasks are: Linux system's administration; Architecture, planning and management of Ethernet, Wifi, IPv4/IPv6 networks.

Trainee at INESC-ID 2019-2019

Along with the beginning of my master thesis, I joined INESC-ID as Trainee and Master Student. On my time in INESC-ID, I published my first paper along with my master thesis supervisor.

Teaching Assistant 2018-2019

On my second year of master degree, I was invited to lecture the laboratory classes of Forensics Cyber-Security course. It was a pleasure to be on the other side of the class and share my knowledge with such inspiring students.

METI Course Delegate 2017-2019

When I finished my bachelor degree and enrolled master's, I decided to apply as the course delegate. During that time I represented the interests of my colleagues and gave my feedback regarding the master degree in order to improve it.
